Survival of the Littlest: Our April Fool’s Evolution Event
Every great organization faces disruption eventually. New competitors emerge. Power shifts. Leadership gets challenged.
This year, it happened at UnNatural Selection.
For our April Fool’s release, we handed the microphone – and, arguably, the strategic direction of the entire show – to the next generation.
And honestly? Things escalated quickly.
Episode 47: The World’s Leading Expert on Rude Dinosaurs
In our first special, we welcomed a four-year-old researcher and the world’s foremost authority on rude dinosaurs.
Through rigorous fieldwork conducted on the living room floor and a long-running peer-review process known as bedtime questions, we explored the most urgent questions facing humanity:
Where do rude dinosaurs live?
Can nice dinosaurs become rude?
What advice would make dinosaurs better members of society?
The answer, in case you’re wondering, is simple and powerful: they have to be nice.
Groundbreaking stuff.
Episode 48: The Executive Strategy Session
If the first episode challenged our scientific assumptions, the second challenged our leadership structure.
To plan Season 2, we convened what can only be described as an elite programming strategy session with a six-year-old media programming prodigy and Chief Programming Officer of the Household Division.
The mandate was clear: help shape the future of UnNatural Selection.
The results? A bold expansion of our content roadmap, spanning everything from oceans and animals to farming, nutrition, cooking, transportation, and how water gets to our homes. It was a reminder that curiosity is the original innovation engine – and that sometimes the best strategic questions are the simplest ones.
In the process, the host experienced his own UnNatural Selection moment and was quietly reorganized to the bottom of the family org chart.
Leadership transitions happen fast.
The Real Evolution Begins on Cinco de Mayo
While these episodes were a playful April Fool’s warm-up, the next chapter of UnNatural Selection is very real.
Season 2 officially launches on Cinco de Mayo, the first Tuesday of May – and for the first time, episodes will be released in video.
We’re returning with global thought leaders exploring innovation, competition, and strategy across industries. Expect deeper conversations, bigger perspectives, and the same core question at the heart of the show:
Who adapts, who thrives, and who gets disrupted?
Thank you for being part of this journey.
And for indulging us while we let the next generation take the wheel – just for a moment.
Season 2 starts soon. Stay tuned.
